KATHY - MICHIGAN

Greetings!  My name is Kathy Rennhack and I'm so excited to work with you on creating priceless travel memories.  Wife, mom, substitute teacher and travel extraordinaire are just a few of the hats I wear.  I have lived just off the coast of beautiful Lake Michigan for the past 15 years with my husband and our children.  

Born and raised in Iowa, my parents instilled a love travel from the very beginning with family trips across the country. My first trip to Europe was a three-week high school graduation gift to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with my German class, which ignited my passion for Europe. Six years later, I returned to Europe, but this time visiting Paris with my then boyfriend, now husband. He proposed to me in a rowboat on the lake at the Palace of Versailles, and we married on a beach in Jamaica the following year. For over 20 years, we've visited 34 countries on three continents together, including 22 cruises (18 with Disney), land destinations, and all-inclusive resorts. In total, I have 42 countries under my belt including my MBA residency to study the microcredit finance landscape in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

My true travel passion has been in the arena of advocating for special needs travelers, inspired by my daughter who was born profoundly deaf. It definitely has opened my eyes to the struggles and triumphs of travel accessibility, especially outside of the United States.  I have devoted a significant amount of time to learning the ins and outs of our vendors' special services policies and procedures.  Whether it's coordinating a low-stimulation check-in process with our travel partners, securing American Sign Language interpreters for a visit to Rome or scheduling closed-captioned movies onboard a cruise ship, I am a workhorse when it comes to making sure all members of your travel party have a fabulous vacation.

When I am not traveling, you will find me in the classroom as a substitute teacher for middle and high school students.  I also enjoy keeping up with my kids' extracurricular activities and binge-watching true crime shows.
