CHARITY - INDIANA
CHARITY - INDIANA
I'm a teacher in Indiana, but my classroom extends far beyond the four walls of a school. Along with my husband, a retired police officer, I share our home with our three dachshunds and three cats. We have five beautiful grandchildren, all five and under. By day, I’m a high school teacher at a virtual school, where I’m passionate about inspiring students through medical and biomedical pathways. One of my passions includes opening others up to the world, especially through student travel programs. Nothing compares to the excitement of taking a student on their first flight to experience a new culture — it’s an unforgettable way to open minds and hearts.
Travel has been a lifelong passion—I’ve explored nearly two-thirds of the United States and visited eleven countries across three continents. Hosting five exchange students from Europe and South America has deepened my belief that sharing our cultures is the true path to peace, love, and empathy.
While I’ve been the go-to person for travel advice for longer than I can remember, I officially began professionally planning vacations in 2017. Specializing in Disney Destination travel, I’m a proud College of Disney Knowledge-certified agent and love all things Disney. From riding the Disney Skyliner, to riding my favorite attractions, or just relaxing with a coffee and taking in the ambiance, Disney brings a brief innocence in a chaotic world. I thrive on the anticipation of that joy as I assist others in planning and experiencing a most magical vacation for their families. Helping families create smooth, worry-free vacations—especially those with special needs or dietary restrictions—so they can focus on what matters most: making memories together, is what I love to do.
One of my favorite recent trips was celebrating Christmas at Walt Disney World with all our children and grandchildren. A group of thirteen family members, including five little ones, might seem overwhelming to some, but watching them marvel at the larger than life grandeur of the Finding Nemo suites and the Big Blue Pool was pure magic. Hearing the shrieks of joy as the kids saw their favorite characters and witnessing the wide-eyed wonder during the Christmas parade made any struggle simply melt away. Watching my three and five-year-old grandchildren bravely ride their first roller coasters and build their first droids made my heart swell. My heart swells every time I reminisce.
I often hear people say they don't want to take their children to Disney until they are old enough to remember the experience. To which I always counter: "But YOU will remember. YOU will remember the smiles, the squeals, and your heart bursting with love." Life is short. Take the trip and make the memories!
